![]() While it is a much more simple game than TS3, I still enjoy playing it from time to time. The game seems to be hard coded to have heros created from scratch unless you have finished an ambition and are moving to a new kingdom. You can sword fight with no blood, you can slay dragons, you can send people to 'the pit' ill let you figure out what that is. I don't know if a second child grownup, can assume a different hero's position. The Sims Medieval VERY COOL GAME Some sexuality, your sims can have sex (refered to as woo hoos) it is all covered though, you can make your sims make out. This is the only way a child can grow up, and can only happen if the professional sim dies, as there is no 'retiring' in The Sims Medieval. Even jumping into the pit hasn't killed them. Child Succession The Sims Medieval Wiki Fandom in: Gameplay, Life stages Child Succession View source Child succession is when the child of a Hero sim takes their professional parents place. I actually haven't had a hero die yet, since my goals in the game were to succeed with platinum in the ambitions and also to collect badges. ![]() When the hero dies, which can happen many ways in the game, that is the point at which the kids reach adulthood and can assimilate the parent's hero job. So your hero can have two children and when you have a pair of them whose traits seem suitable for the progression, then stop having children by that hero. Medieval children only have two ages: baby and child. If you have more than two, some of the children disappear in the woods, never to be seen again, probably eaten by bears! Medieval children have several differences from the modern children of The Sims series. ![]() You can interact with them and can only have two children in your family. So since the engine is so simplified, there is not a lot you can do with children. (Laptop prices for gaming machines have much improved!) It seems that the game was offered as an option for laptop users, and in the past, gaming laptops were often over 2K USD, and most people were wanting to play sim games on their school or family laptops. The sims in this game run on a simplified engine. But there is no harm in starting any time. If you would like to have related sims, ultimately running the town, you wouldn't be able to do this in quest mode because you will very likely run out of quest points before you can do that. You 'mouse over' the characters while they are in 'live mode', walking around their homes or the village, etc.
